All Faculty, Physicians, Psychologists, Resident Leaders, and Medical Educators from SEMCME Member Institutions

 

Course Description

Right Brain curriculum can help revive interest in Professional Identity Formation, promote self-reflection, self-actualization, a better understanding of others, and a sense of connection and community among medical educators and learners.    

 

Objectives

After completing this series, participants will be able to:    

1. Better understand the process and goal of Professional Identity Formation.   
2. Be able to self-reflect on personal and professional development and their integration.
3. Consider the implication of the above integration for their teaching and role modeling.    
4.Better understand the healing arts employing a right brain, left brain, and soul brain model.   

 

Accreditation Statement: In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by McLaren Health Care and Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education. McLaren Health Care is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team."    

This activity will also award credit for psychology (APA) if the requirements necessary for credit are met.                  

 

Medicine CME: The McLaren Health Care designates this live activity for a maximum of 3.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.                   

 

Osteopathic CME:The McLaren Health Care is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The McLaren Health Care designates this activity for a maximum of 3.0 AOA Category 2-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extent of the physician's participation in this activity.                  

 

Psychology CE: The McLaren Health Care designates this activity for a maximum of 3.0 APA CE Credit.
